This month, we're spotlighting Jolie Whitley, a passionate advocate and leader in special education whose role at The Academy is helping shape brighter futures for students with disabilities.

Jolie brings a rare combination of experience, vision, and heartfelt dedication to her work. Known for her ability to break down complex systems, foster collaboration, and build inclusive environments, she has spent her career making sure every student gets the support they deserve. Her story is one of purpose, resilience, and a deep belief that all students can thrive when given the right tools and opportunities.

Jolie's connection to special education began long before her professional career. Even as a child, she felt drawn to supporting classmates with disabilities. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion, and eventually a career dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments.

Since 2009, Jolie has worked in special education, stepping into leadership roles in 2016. She brings not only years of classroom experience but also a clear vision for how to build strong, effective programs that truly serve students and families.
