LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (January 25, 2017) – Officials at Easterseals Arkansas announce Stephen Jones, Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President/Director of Player Personnel with the Dallas Cowboys NFL franchise, as its 2017 Arkansan of the Year at a news conference Wednesday, February 1, 3:00 p.m., at Easterseals headquarters, 3920 Woodland Heights Road in Little Rock.
Jones, son of 2009 Arkansan of the Year honoree and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, is being recognized for his leadership in philanthropic causes, including his long-time support of Easterseals.
His philanthropic efforts in Arkansas include major contributions to Easterseals, Wings over the Prairie Festival and Ducks Unlimited. Jones was also instrumental in an NFL initiative to pass more stringent football helmet safety laws in all 50 states. He spearheaded the development and passage of the new law in Arkansas.
Easterseals will honor Jones at a banquet to be held Thursday, April 6, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. To purchase tickets or a table, click here.
The Arkansas native has served as his father’s right-hand man for the past 27 years while overseeing the management operations for all aspects of the Dallas Cowboys and AT&T Stadium and supervising the team’s scouting and player personnel department.
Arkansan of the Year chairman Sheffield Nelson and Easterseals Arkansas President and CEO Elaine Eubank made the announcement at the news conference. Event chairman Nelson is a past Easterseals Arkansan of the Year honoree.
