ACCE: Where College Experience Meets Career Preparedness
A dynamic partnership between Easterseals Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has given birth to an extraordinary program: Academics, Community, Career Development and Employment Program (ACCE).
Modeled after the Think College initiative, ACCE offers students with intellectual and developmental disabilities a one-of-a-kind blend of academic coursework, social support, and career exploration.
Whether your loved ones are dealing with autism or Asperger’s syndrome, ACCE has a spot for them in its two-semester program, located on the UA Little Rock campus.

SET for Success:
Your Bridge to Life Beyond High School
Making the jump from high school to adulthood can be overwhelming. That’s where SET for Success comes in. Our experts walk into their school, free of charge, and equip them with the essential skills to smooth their post-high school transition. Designed for students with an IEP or 504 plan, SET for Success is their ticket to a more prepared future.
Our Pre-Employment Transition Service (Pre-ETS) Program covers:
- Job Exploration: Discover what gets them excited about getting up in the morning.
- Workplace Readiness Training: Learn the skills employers are actually looking for.
- Work-Based Learning Experiences: Get a taste of the real world before they step into it.
- Educational Counseling: Discover pathways to further education and training opportunities.

Navigating the job market can be complex, but they don’t have to do it alone. Through our one-on-one job counseling and training, we prepare them for the workplace challenges ahead. Our strong, longstanding partnerships with community employers are leveraged to help them secure competitive positions that match their skills and aspirations.
Their Success is Our Mission
Once they’re employed, our job doesn’t end there. Our coaches continue to make site visits, serving as a liaison between them and their employers to monitor their progress and provide necessary support. This means fewer obstacles at work and higher job retention rates.

The HIRE program seamlessly dovetails with our high-school transition service, SET for Success, and our college experience program, ACCE. This creates a continuum of support, ensuring that they are workplace-ready at every stage of their life.
