Her heart for service, wealth of experience, and unwavering dedication shine through in everything she does at the Center for Training & Wellness. Libby’s story is a testament to the power of compassion, teamwork, and lifelong learning.
A Heart for Service, A Life of Impact
Elizabeth "Libby" Oldridge has spent more than three decades dedicating her talents and compassion to the Human Services field. Her journey began in Sherwood, Arkansas, where she cultivated her passion for helping others. After graduating from Central Arkansas Christian School in North Little Rock, she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Never one to stop learning, Libby furthered her education by earning a Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from the University of Phoenix in Sacramento.
Along the way, Libby achieved certifications in Applied Behavior Analysis and Structured Analysis Family Evaluations (SAFE), equipping her with specialized skills to better serve individuals and families.
"I really liked the positive energy that I felt from the adults when I walked into the building," Libby reflects on why she chose to join Easterseals Arkansas. "I also got a strong sense of support and encouragement from the executive staff during my interview. That, combined with the promise of a steady and predictable schedule, made the decision easy."
Her colleagues and those she serves describe her as approachable, calm under pressure, and an incredible encourager — always finding the silver lining in every situation. With awards like the Light of Hope Award from the Department of Human Services and multiple recognitions for teamwork and advocacy, Libby’s professional journey is filled with a legacy of kindness and excellence.
Empowering Adults at the Center for Training & Wellness
At the Center for Training & Wellness, Libby plays a crucial role in creating an environment where adults with disabilities can thrive, develop life skills, and achieve their goals. Her days are filled with supporting individuals in a variety of ways — from de-escalating challenging situations with grace to celebrating personal victories, no matter how small.
"I am extremely organized and timely and I pride myself on meeting deadlines without incident," Libby shares. "But beyond that, my real strength is being able to connect with people, validate their feelings, and help them reframe challenges into opportunities for growth."
Her easygoing nature, paired with her professional skills, allows her to build trust and foster a community where every adult feels valued and empowered. Whether she's stepping in to support a team member or quietly encouraging someone who needs a boost, Libby leads by example every day.
When Libby isn’t working directly with individuals, you might find her volunteering at Easterseals events — extending her passion for service beyond her daily role.
