At Easterseals Arkansas, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Today, on National Volunteer Recognition Day, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on one of our dedicated supporters, Savannah Steward.
A Passion for Giving Back
Savannah has been volunteering with Easterseals for more than two years, and her passion for our work is evident in every moment she gives.
“I have been volunteering with Easterseals for a little over two years,” Savannah shares. “I love the mission of Easterseals. They create an inclusive environment for all individuals with disabilities. No matter if they are young children or adults, these students and members of the Easterseals family get to see and feel the value that they bring to this world—without feeling as though they are not enough.”
That sense of belonging and empowerment is exactly what drives our work every day, and it’s volunteers like Savannah who help bring that vision to life.
On The Joy of Volunteering with Easterseals
When asked what she would say to someone considering volunteering, Savannah doesn’t hesitate:
If you have been thinking about volunteering, DO IT! Start with the Fashion Event—you will see in one night just how amazing this organization is, as well as the incredible kids and families who benefit from the work being done at Easterseals. New York Fashion Week could never bring the energy that the Fashion Event does. Those kiddos rock the runway and walk right into your heart!
Savannah’s words capture the joy, energy, and impact that define the Easterseals community. From the runway to the classroom and beyond, volunteers play a vital role in creating opportunities, building confidence, and celebrating every individual’s unique abilities.
Thank you, Savannah!
This National Volunteer Recognition Day, we are so grateful to Savannah and all the volunteers who make our mission possible. Your time, your heart, and your dedication truly make a difference.
