Year in Review, Fiscal Year 2020 – 2021
Celebrating Over 75 Years of Service
Easterseals Arkansas is leading the way to full equity, inclusion, and access through life-changing disability and community services. For more than 75 years, we have worked tirelessly with our partners to enhance quality of life and expand local access to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training, Easterseals Arkansas is empowering people with disabilities, families and communities to be full and equal participants of society.
Our fiscal year beginning July 1, 2020, and ending June 30, 2021, was all about thriving among many challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. And thrive we did! Despite hardships, the individuals we serve, our staff and supporters never forgot what makes Easterseals Arkansas a special place for individuals to grow, reach goals and learn to live as independently as possible.
Who is Easterseals Arkansas
Easterseals is about helping others, breaking down barriers, changing lives, promoting independence, fun and much, much more.
Where We Came From
Easterseals Arkansas was founded to be a resource for children living with disabilities. Through the years we have expanded our mission to include helping all Arkansans living with disabilities to reach their highest potential.
Where We’re Headed
We have a strong team of employees dedicated to our mission. Creating a culture and environment that allows people to succeed in their jobs so that they can help support the individuals we serve is top priority. We have made concerted efforts to put resources where they need to be for our frontline staff so they are able to come to work and focus on the task at hand – delivering exceptional services.
Leading the way to protect those we serve
Continuing our tradition of being pioneers in our field, we led the way with the Covid-19 vaccine by making it mandatory for employees to get vaccinated. We were one of the first organizations in the state to make this requirement, and it has paved the way to a healthier workplace and environment for children and adults who receive our services.
