At Easterseals Arkansas, we are proud to have dedicated and passionate team members who make a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Today, we’re excited to spotlight Alison “Ali” Miller, an enthusiastic and caring educator for our new Phase 2 Young Adult Program. Ali’s journey has been fueled by her lifelong passion for working with individuals with disabilities, and she brings a wealth of experience, warmth, and positivity to her role every day.
Ali’s Role at Easterseals Arkansas
Ali is a teacher in Phase 2, an extension of the Center for Training & Wellness, where she helps young adults develop essential skills to lead fulfilling and independent lives. She joined Easterseals in August 2024, after an extensive career working with individuals with developmental disabilities and chronic medical conditions. Ali’s journey began in 2008 as a camp counselor at Camp Aldersgate, where she spent 15 years—most of them as the Director of Programs—before bringing her expertise to Easterseals.
Her ability to create a safe, engaging, and fun learning environment helps participants thrive. She is well known for her problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and ability to make everyone feel heard. Whether she’s leading a classroom activity or advocating for individuals to have a voice, Ali makes an impact that lasts.
Ali’s Background & Passion
Ali grew up in Springdale, Arkansas, and pursued her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Hendrix College, with a focus on psychology. She later attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to work toward a master’s degree in Special Education, completing all but her practicum.
Her passion lies in ensuring everyone has access to recreational activities and the simple joys of life. Outside of work, Ali can often be found at the baseball field with her son, gardening, floating on a river, playing games, or simply enjoying the outdoors. She is also an active volunteer with Keep Little Rock Beautiful, dedicated to preserving local parks and green spaces.
