This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Ashley Brockinton, a dedicated member of our development team whose journey with Easterseals has been nothing short of inspiring.
From Temp to Tenured: Ashley’s Journey
Ashley Brockinton’s story with Easterseals Arkansas began unexpectedly. Initially joining through a temp agency, Ashley was simply looking for a job to stay busy. What she found was a purpose. Starting in the preschool program and later transitioning to the Center for Training and Wellness, she discovered a deep passion for working with adults in our programs. Over the years, she’s built lasting connections with individuals and their families, solidifying her commitment to the mission of Easterseals.
Since 2020, Ashley has officially been part of the Easterseals team, growing through multiple roles and responsibilities. Her adaptability and eagerness to learn have made her an invaluable asset to our organization. Recently promoted to Volunteer Coordinator, Ashley continues to excel in her new role by harnessing her background as a Certified Nursing Assistant and her high school diploma from Conway High School. She has seamlessly blended her skills with her passion for advocacy and organization, making a significant impact on our volunteer programs.
A Passion for Advocacy and Support
Ashley is known among her colleagues for her organization, problem-solving abilities, and go-getter attitude. But beyond that, she is a fierce advocate for the individuals we serve. She understands the importance of giving them a voice and ensuring their stories are heard in the broader community. Her patience and compassionate nature make her a trusted supporter for both individuals and families navigating their journeys.
“Being an advocate isn’t just a responsibility—it’s a privilege,” Ashley shares. “I strive every day to celebrate victories, big or small, and to offer a compassionate ear. Our individuals deserve to be heard, and I take that role seriously.”
Life Outside of Work
When she’s not at Easterseals, Ashley enjoys spending time at home with her children, working with her horses, and chatting with her mini Highland cow, Bruno. She’s also actively involved in her daughter’s barrel racing and enjoys spending summers at her family’s lake house, kayaking and camping with her husband and kids.
A native of Flippin, Arkansas, Ashley moved to Conway during high school and has remained there ever since. She’s deeply connected to her roots and makes frequent visits back home to soak in the beauty of the White River.
