At Easterseals Arkansas, the heartbeat of our mission lies in the dedication of our incredible team members—people who go above and beyond each day to help individuals with disabilities lead more independent, fulfilled lives. One of those exceptional people is Erin Harrington, a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist on our Outpatient Therapy team whose work empowers clients across the lifespan to communicate, connect, and thrive.
A Passion for Lifelong Support and Inclusive Therapy
Erin joined Easterseals as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving within our Outpatient Therapy program. With 4.5 years of experience, she was drawn to our team by the strong reputation of the therapy department and the breadth of programs serving individuals at every age.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Sociology from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master’s degree from Baylor University, Erin brings both education and hands-on expertise to her work. She also has specialized training in oral motor and sensory-based feeding techniques (SOS Approach to Feeding) and continuing education in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Erin is passionate about continuing to help individuals, no matter their age.
“I really enjoy helping my clients find ways to communicate functionally in a way that works for them. This includes the use of AAC devices! I also enjoy doing feeding/oral motor therapy. Groups are also fun! Right now we have a language group, circle time group, and a variety of feeding groups that I love bringing clients to.
Making Communication Functional and Fun As A Speech-Language Pathologist
At Easterseals Arkansas, Erin is best known for helping clients and their families discover meaningful, functional ways to communicate—often through tailored augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Her enthusiasm for therapy extends into group settings, too, where she leads engaging sessions like language groups, circle time, and feeding groups.
What truly sets Erin apart is her ability to blend technical expertise with deep empathy. Her clients trust her because she listens. She adapts. And she genuinely cares.
From Small Town Roots to Little Rock
Erin grew up in Prattsville, AR, a place she loves for its close-knit community. After earning her graduate degree, she lived briefly elsewhere before moving to West Little Rock in 2023, where she now resides with her sister.
Life Beyond Work: Family, Travel, and Four-Legged Friends
When she’s not in the clinic, Erin finds joy in the little things: spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, and attending concerts. She's also passionate about reading and sustainability. She shares her life with her Italian Greyhound, Remy, who keeps life energetic.
“Traveling! I love going to new places and learning about different cultures. I recently went on trips to Africa (Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa) and Greece!”
A Home for Hope: Working As A Speech-Language Pathologist
Founded on the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best life, Easterseals Arkansas offers a range of programs that empower people with disabilities across the lifespan. For Erin, working at Easterseals means being part of a team that’s truly committed to positive change.
It’s a community where people are treated with dignity and encouraged to reach their full potential.
“I have always heard great things about the therapy department here and that it was a great place to work. I really liked that Easterseals has programs that can serve individuals throughout their lifespan!”

Erin’s work as a speech-language pathologist leaves a lasting impact—not only on the clients she serves but on the Easterseals Arkansas team and community. She leads with compassion, acts with purpose, and never loses sight of why her work matters.
