Marcus participated in the SET for Success program while at Sylvan Hills High School. Through the SET for Success summer program, he worked in Sodexo food services at Baptist Health Medical Center. SET for Success provided Marcus’ his first paid work experience, and it is where he and his family learned about the ACCE program on the UA Little Rock campus. ACCE became the postsecondary program for Marcus, and he is currently working in an internship with the Ottenheimer Library on campus. Marcus enjoys having a college experience while participating in classroom and internship activities. On the weekends, he enjoys practicing basketball and playing video games. When asked about his future goals, Marcus said he hopes to find a good-paying job and increase his ability to be more responsible. After taking a tour of the Easterseals Arkansas apartments, another future goal is to live in one of the apartments.
