March 3, 2022, LITTLE ROCK, AR
After a few reschedules due to the pandemic, Easterseals Arkansas is thrilled to announce the grand celebration of the Arkansan of the Year gala event, honoring the philanthropic spirit of Rick Fleetwood, at the Little Rock Marriott on March 15, 2022. The stage is set to host the renowned gala live and in person, a delight missed since 2019.
Spotlight on Rick Fleetwood, a Man with a Heart of Gold
Hailing from Monette, Arkansas, Rick Fleetwood embarked on a journey of altruism early in life, driven by the teachings of community service and empathy received in his church’s youth group.
His passion found further avenues during his reputable service in the Vietnam War and a fulfilling career dedicated to caring for people with disabilities at Snell Prosthetics and Orthotics. From commencing his journey as a general manager in 1975 to retiring as the CEO in 2020, Fleetwood’s career is a testament to dedication and compassion.
This year’s celebration turns the spotlight on Fleetwood, a person who has devoted his lifetime to philanthropy in the state, showcasing a spirit that resonates deeply with the Easterseals’ mission. Those who know him affirm that he perfectly embodies the essence of Arkansan of the Year, an honor previously bestowed upon distinguished individuals including notable business leaders and governors.
