3/20/2020 Executive Team Update
Easterseals Arkansas is trying to follow the guidance of the CDC and our local, state, and federal government officials as well as our core values to help us make the best decisions with the information we have available.
Closed Programs – Based on Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s closing of schools through April 17 and additional expected attempts to flatten the curve and stop the spread of COVID19, we are keeping the following programs CLOSED until further notice in an effort to try to help combat the spread of the virus:
- Little Rock Developmental Preschool
- Outpatient Therapy
- The Academy at Riverdale
- GPCDC (Grand Prairie Child Development Center)
- CTW/HIRE (Center for Training & Wellness Center and HIRE program)
Hiring, New Hires and Orientation – we are suspending all recruiting, hiring, and orientation for at least two weeks. People who have received offers are being notified of the delay.
Additional Safety Related Precautions – we are planning to implement the following measures immediately to try to help slow the spread of COVID19:
- Lower temperature screening from 100.4 to 100 degrees F and using oral thermometers only at our Children’s Rehabilitation Center (CRC) and Butler Adult Living Center
- Waiver Direct Support Professional staff to screen individuals and families before providing services (i.e., complete the checklist)
- No non-emergency medical visits for individuals in CRC and Butler – telehealth is an option
- No outside visitors or allowing individuals we serve in CRC and Butler to go home or into the community (if parents take them out, they will need to stay home)
- No use of outside contractors to fill roles without VP approval
