LITTLE ROCK, AR – In light of Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s directive to close schools statewide, and in keeping with recommendations by the CDC, the nonprofit organization made the decision to also close its Center for Training & Wellness. The closing will take effect Tuesday, March 16, and last through Friday, March 27. Easterseals developmental preschools in Little Rock and Stuttgart, The Academy at Riverdale, and Outpatient Therapy were closed last week and also will remain closed through the 27th.

The Center for Training & Wellness is the organization’s day center for adults with disabilities. The Little Rock Developmental Preschool as well as the Grand Prairie Child Development Center (preschool) in Stuttgart typically are open weekdays during the entire year. The Academy is the organization’s private school serving students ages 5-21.

The health and safety of the children served by these programs is top priority. Easterseals Arkansas will continue to work closely with its health advisors and state officials to determine the best course of action moving forward as everyone monitors the progress of COVID-19.
