FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LITTLE ROCK (Dec. 9, 2015) – Officials at Easterseals Arkansas announced Latravius Brown as Easterseals Arkansas 2016-2017 Grand Prairie Child Development Center (GPCDC) Representative. As one of the organization’s ambassadors, LaTravius, along with his family, will share his incredible story with donors, volunteers and the community. “We are so excited to have LaTravius as our Representative, sharing our mission. He has made huge strides at GPCDC,” said Linda Rogers, Easterseals Arkansas Vice-President of Programs.
LaTravius was born with Type II Collegenopathy, a rare disorder that affects bone development. LaTravius receives occupational, speech and physical therapy at Easterseals GPCDC. One of his most recent accomplishments was learning to walk right before his second birthday. Now he is running and playing with all of his friends. “Easterseals has done an excellent job at helping LaTravius meet milestones that we were not sure he would ever meet,” said Terinesha, LaTravius’ mom.
Since 2004, Easterseals GPCDC has served children with disabilities in the Grand Prairie through education and therapy. For over 70 years, Easterseals Arkansas has been a statewide leader in providing exceptional services that promote dignity, equality, and independence for children and adults with disabilities.
