Easterseals Arkansas has hired Stacy Ferguson as its Chief Administrative and Finance Officer. Ferguson comes to Easterseals with more than 12 years of experience in IDD/DD (intellectual and developmental disabilities) community services.

Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from the University of Tennessee – Martin. She has more than 30 years’ experience in accounting and finance with more than 25 years’ experience serving as CFO for various nonprofit organizations. Early in her career, she also worked as Controller/Office Manager for ME Black Farms, which is owned by George Dunklin – a longtime Easterseals supporter. She personally knew Stacey and Allen Homra after whom the Easterseals preschool in Stuttgart recently was named.

After the past two years as CFO with an industrial machinery company, Ferguson said she is excited to get back to a provider in the IDD field as that is her passion. Her desire to serve has been instilled in her by her family who have deep roots in community building organizations and giving back to others. She has served as Treasurer of the Benton/Bauxite Rotary Club where she is a Paul Harris Fellow. She was also a member of the Saline County Women’s Lions Club and the Benton Civitan Club.

Ron Ekstrand, CEO for Easterseals Arkansas, shared, “We are so excited to have Stacy joining our very talented leadership team as we look forward to expanding our services across the state in advance of Governor Hutchinson’s announcement to provide funding for 3,200 people currently on the waiting list for services here in Arkansas.”

Aside from work, Ferguson’s focus is her family and her rescue pets. She has two sons, David and daughter-in-law Shelby, and Dylan, as well as granddaughter, Bentley. She is excited about the upcoming arrival of her second granddaughter this summer. Raised in middle Tennessee, she lives in Benton and attends New Life Church/Saline County. She is an avid long-distance runner and also loves sports and tailgating at the Arkansas Razorbacks football games where her son, Dylan, attends college.
