King Foundation Awards Grant to Easterseals Arkansas

Easterseals Arkansas is pleased to announce a grant of $25,200 from the Carl B. and Florence E. King Foundation to enhance the capacity of school districts in 32 Arkansas Counties to provide quality education to students with disabilities. The King Foundation will partner with Easterseals Arkansas and local school districts to train 220 teachers, therapists, administrators and other professionals in approximately 11 sessions. The individual districts will choose from a menu of training options that will most benefit their particular needs. 

Training will be available in the following counties: Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Calhoun, Chicot, Cleveland, Clay, Columbia, Craighead, Cross, Crittenden, Desha, Drew, Greene, Hempstead, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lee, Lincoln, Little River, Miller, Mississippi, Monroe, Nevada, Ouachita, Phillips, Poinsett, Prairie, St. Francis , Union and Woodruff.

About the Carl B. & Florence E. King Foundation
Carl B. and Florence E. King started the Foundation that bears their names in 1966. Established by gifts from Mr. and Mrs. King, as well as a later bequest from their daughter, Dorothy, the Foundation has now grown to more than $75 million in assets. The Foundation distributes more than $2 million per year to charities serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, 38 counties in West Texas and 32 counties in Arkansas.
